My oh my, how time flies! Clearly I’ve been neglecting my blogging duties of late, but if it makes you feel better (or if it makes me feel better), I haven’t really had much going on in the travel world since my last post. Aside from my annual trip to Los Angeles for Gallifrey One in February and a couple of quick weekend trips to Iowa and Wisconsin, I’ve been keeping a low profile at home. But, unless you’re new to this blog, you know that pattern could never last for too long, so I’m excited to announce that I’ve got another trip planned, this time to a brand new destination…

INDIA!

But you’d probably gathered that from the title of this post, right? This is actually a work trip, but I’m really excited for it, both because I get to work with my great team in India and also because I’ve never been there before! While I won’t have as much time to explore as I normally do, I have about two weeks (including two weekends) in Bangalore, so I intend to make the most of the free time I do have. I’ve already been invited on a day trip to Mysore with one of my co-workers and, just tonight, I planned a quick overnight trip to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal – looking forward to both! And, because it’s a work trip, I’m also looking forward to the actual travel experience because I’ll be flying business class again. Savvy readers may recall that I did that once before, thanks to my friend/Delta employee (thanks Bill!), but that was a few years ago, so it will be a nice little luxury to do it again. I’m planning on sharing more of the experience here and doing a bit of a review of it as well, so keep your eyes peeled!

I won’t be doing this trip alone – you guys will be coming with me, as always! And since India is a new city (hell, a new continent!) for me, I’m especially interested in any recommendations you have. Restaurants, things to see, places to go (or not go), etc. – share it all! I’m leaving next Wednesday, so post your recommendations in the comments.
