As a follow-up to my last post, in case you missed my comment about it, I decided to apply for Global Entry. I know it’s more money, but the value seems like it’s there!

So how about upcoming trips? As it turns out, I actually have several! Here’s what’s on the horizon for the next month:

• Orlando, Florida
• Wausau, Wisconsin
• Cancun, Mexico

All of them will be fun for different reasons. The Orlando trip is for work, so although I’ll be there for four nights, I won’t be doing anything too fun outside of facilitating some training. Well, mostly nothing else. We may try to sneak a couple of fun things in. At the very least, we can find some fun places to eat in the evenings! I’m traveling with a great group of people from work though, so that will make it fun! I’ve been to Orlando once before, when I was in 7th grade, to do the Disneyworld thing with my family. It was fun at the time and it’s something I may do again at some point, but we’ll see. Regardless, I appreciate the chance to take a trip that I don’t have to pay for once in awhile!

Wausau is a weekend trip I’m taking with Scott and a few friends. It’s where Scott is from and I’ve never been there before, so it will be fun to see where he grew up! And of course, who doesn’t love a good road trip?? Scott and I did another road trip last summer with our friends Josh and Nick (who are two of the friends going to Wausau) and that was tons of fun, so I’m looking forward to a weekend of fun, relaxing, beverages, and some Phase 10. Oh yes, there will be Phase 10.

The last trip in the run should be the most fun – sunny Cancun! Anyone who knows me well will tell you that beach vacations aren’t something I’ve done before, so this will be a change for me. This isn’t because I don’t like relaxing by the beach, but I so enjoy traveling around and seeing the sights when I’m on vacation that a lounging vacation just isn’t something I’ve done often. But this is an all-inclusive resort on the beach in Mexico and after the terrible, polar vortex-ridden winter we’ve been having in Minnesota, I’m *definitely* looking forward to this. And, since I’ve never been to Mexico before, it’s a new country/stamp on my passport, too. Bonus! Now, pass the sunscreen…
